A delegation from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in the Russian Federation, led by First Secretary Abdelilah Ghazioui, was on a working visit to Astrakhan State Medical University (ASMU).
During the visit, delegation members held meetings with Acting Rector of ASMU Sergey Poroysky, as well as with heads of several university departments. Discussions focused on cooperation in the field of education and certain aspects of collaboration between the university's international office and the consular service of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco. Among the outcomes of the talks, specific measures were outlined and agreed upon concerning graduates of ASMU in 2025. These measures are aimed at streamlining migration-related procedures required under the legislation of the Russian Federation.
Currently, over 860 citizens of the Kingdom of Morocco are studying at ASMU across various educational levels. One of the goals of the Moroccan Embassy delegation's visit to the university was the launch of a mobile consular service program. This program allows students to renew their passports, ID cards, and obtain documents for the temporary residence permit procedure for students, on an expedited basis without leaving Astrakhan.
Representatives of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco received 133 packages of the aforementioned documents from their citizen students. During a meeting with the compatriots held in the university's assembly hall, Abdellilah Ghazioui noted that such cooperation with ASMU would be carried out on a regular basis.
