Astrakhan agricultural scientists participate in international forum

An international scientific and practical forum on land reclamation, "Water Supply in Agriculture," was held in Volgograd at the All-Russian Research Institute of Irrigated Agriculture. The event brought together over 170 scientists, experts, and industry specialists from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Mongolia. 

At the plenary session, Natalia Tyutyuma, Director of the Caspian Agrarian Federal Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences (located in the village of Solenoye Zaymishche, the Astrakhan Region) and Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, delivered a report titled "Innovations in Irrigated Agriculture of the Caspian Lowland."

As part of the forum, a Youth Scientific and Practical Conference "Reclamation: Development Through Innovation" was held, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of Vitaly Mamin, a prominent Soviet and Russian meadow scientist, Honored Reclamation Specialist of the Russian Federation, and Doctor of Agricultural Sciences. 

Among other participants, researchers from the Caspian Agrarian Federal Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences – Anna Bakanova, Natalia Kudryashova, Igor Kuschev – and their colleague from the center’s branch, the All-Russian Research Institute of Irrigated Vegetable and Melon Growing (Kamyshyak), Altana Gabunshina, presented reports. In their presentations, they proposed a set of measures aimed at improving soil fertility, crop yield, and agricultural product quality.
