On the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and Belarus, Caspian Institute of Sea and River Transport named after gen.-adm. F.M. the affiliation of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education «VSUWT» and Belarusian State University of Transport (Gomel) signed a cooperation agreement online.
The document outlines the main areas of collaboration in education and science, including implementation of professional development programs, organization of academic mobility for faculty and students, facilitation of internships under research programs, development and implementation of networking interconnection programs, as well as conducting joint scientific, methodological, and educational events, realizing youth initiatives.
During the online negotiations, Olga Kartashova, Director of Caspian Institute of Sea and River Transport named after gen.-adm. F.M. Apraksin, and Nikolai Kazakov, Rector of Belarusian State University of Transport, emphasized that the signed agreement would not be merely formal but would serve as a working document regulating their joint activities.
On the day the agreement was signed, cadets from Caspian Institute of Sea and River Transport named after gen.-adm. F.M. Apraksin and students from Belarusian State University of Transport participated in an online social project design game. Students from Belarusian State University of Food and Chemical Technologies (Mogilev) also joined the event.
During the game, team members from the Astrakhan and Belarusian universities raised questions about the importance of preventing the rewriting of history and the outcomes of the Great Patriotic War.
At the end of the meeting, the participants expressed their wish to continue working together on the project development in a face-to-face setting.
