Prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in various fields were discussed during a working meeting between Stanislav Sinchenko, President of the Astrakhan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Seyed Mohammad Kazem Abedi, Acting Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Astrakhan.
The Iranian diplomat reported on preparations for the International Exhibition of Iran's Export Opportunities IRANEXPO-2025, which will be held in late April this year in Tehran for the seventh time. He noted that more than 2,400 foreign companies, investors and businessmen from 94 countries took part in this event in 2024.
The Acting Consul General of Iran in Astrakhan invited representatives of the Astrakhan Region's business community to participate in Iran's largest trade exhibition.
The President of the Astrakhan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Union stressed that Astrakhan entrepreneurs are interested in developing business ties with Iranian partners, participation in IRANEXPO-2025 will allow them to get acquainted with Iran's trade, economic and industrial potential, and conduct business negotiations with the participants of the exhibition.
During the meeting, the prospects of opening joint Russian-Iranian enterprises in the Astrakhan region were discussed. It was also noted that representatives of the Iranian business community are interested in the implementation of construction projects in the Astrakhan region.
"Our chamber, which unites regional companies, is ready to act as a bridge connecting Astrakhan and Iranian businesses. We are ready to provide the necessary support to Iranian enterprises in promoting their products to the Russian market," said Stanislav Sinchenko.
