Astrakhan University graduate took part in the forum in Cairo

The Forum of Graduates of Soviet and Russian Universities has ended in Cairo, the capital of the Arab Republic of Egypt. It brought together more than 170 delegates from 15 countries in the Middle East and North Africa. Among them are heads, employees of educational institutions of higher education and healthcare, representatives of national ministries and departments, as well as heads of alumni associations.

The event, organized by Rossotrudnichestvo and the North Caucasus Federal University, is aimed at popularizing the Russian language, increasing the prestige of Russian education and healthcare in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as creating an effective platform for dialogue on educational, scientific and economic cooperation.

Egyptian Minister of Education Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Arab Republic of Egypt Georgy Borisenko, and other officials addressed the plenary session.

The program of the event included round tables and advanced training courses on "Management in education" and "Management in healthcare".

Among the Forum's delegates was a graduate of Astrakhan State Technical University, Egyptian citizen Allam Ayman Younes Fathi. He studied at the graduate school of this university with a degree in Industrial Ecology and Biotechnology and successfully defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Sciences in 2019. Currently, he works as an associate professor at the Department of Food Sciences and Technology, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Al Minufiya University in Egypt.

Allam Ayman Younes Fathi stressed that he was proud of his studies at the graduate school of ASTU, where, thanks to experienced teachers, he gained a wealth of scientific and professional experience that was useful to him in his daily work.
