Astrakhan University prepares scientific staff for Kazakhstan

Astana hosted an international scientific and practical conference on the theme "The policy of unity and solidarity in Kazakhstan: experience and prospects", dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan. The conference was attended by the representatives of government authorities, members of the National Kurultai, the Scientific and Expert Council of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstani and foreign scientists and experts in the field of social sciences and humanities.

At the plenary session professor of the Department of Oriental Studies and Political Sciences of the Astrakhan Tatishchev State University, foreign scientific consultant of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Rafik Usmanov in online format delivered a report on "Actual problems of scientific research and modern communications of higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan (using the example of border territories)".

He noted that currently over 600 citizens of Kazakhstan are studying at astrakhan universities. Astrakhan Tatishchev State University cooperates with 24 educational and scientific organizations in this country. One of the key areas of cooperation is academic mobility of the professor staff and students.

“In 2024 over 100 students of the M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan State University studied online at our university. We also regularly hold online meetings, conferences and online tables with the participation of Kazakhstani colleagues”, he noted.

Using the example of the Department of Oriental Studies and Political Sciences, the expert spoke about the participation of Astrakhan Tatishchev State University in the training of scientific personnel for Kazakhstan. In particular, it was noted that Associate Professor of the Department of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan of Atyrau Institute of Engineering and Humanities Zhannat Asabayeva, an employee of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Institute of State History of the Committee of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maya Urazgaliyeva and others successfully defended their dissertations at Astrakhan University.
