As part of the agreements reached during the April 2025 visit of a delegation from Atyrau Region led by Akim Serik Shapkenov to the Astrakhan Region, representatives of the Admiral General F.M. Apraksin Caspian Institute of Maritime and River Transport (KIMRT) visited Atyrau Region to carry out career guidance activities.
With the support of the Akimat and the Department of Education of Atyrau Region, a meeting was organized with high school graduates and their parents, attended by around 300 participants.
During the event, Associate Professor of the «Ship Mechanical Engineering» Department at KIMRT, Grigory Sapunov, presented the institute’s higher education programs and spoke about the career prospects for graduates of Russia’s leading maritime university. Angelina Fadina, Head of the International Relations Office, highlighted the specific admissions procedures for foreign citizens and the opportunities for both professional and personal development during studies.
Prospective students and their families received comprehensive answers to all questions related to studying at the Astrakhan-based university.
As part of the visit, representatives of KIMRT also held a working meeting with the administration of the Safi Utebayev Atyrau University of Oil and Gas.
