Baku students read Pushkin«s poems

The Center for Education, Science and Technology of the Astrakhan State University named after V.N. Tatishchev in the Republic of Azerbaijan, together with the children's acting studio "I am an Actor" of the Azerbaijan State Academic Russian Drama Theater named after Samad Vurgun, held a competition "Pushkin is the head of all masters!"

Students of secondary educational schools in Baku read lines from the poems of the great Russian poet and tested their knowledge of works familiar from childhood.

Before the event, an exhibition of drawings was organized, where visitors saw illustrations by young artists to the works of A.S. Pushkin.

Russian Russian poetry classic's 225th anniversary event featured, in particular, lines from the "Oriental Poem on Pushkin's Death", written by the famous Azerbaijani educator of the 19th century Mirza Akhundov and translated into Russian by Pavel Antokolsky.

In their speeches, the participants of the evening emphasized that the work of A.S. Pushkin contributes to the spiritual and cultural unity of the peoples of Russia and Azerbaijan. The poet's rich heritage remains a landmark for many generations, and remains relevant today.

And recently, on the stage of the Azerbaijan State Academic Russian Drama Theater named after Samad Vurgun, pupils of the I am an Actor studio presented report performances – "The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish" and "The Tale of Tsar Saltan", dedicating these productions to the anniversary of Alexander Pushkin. The bright and successful work of young Azerbaijani artists was marked by a letter of thanks from the leadership of the Astrakhan State University named after V.N. Tatishchev.
