Denis Afanasyev, Vice Governor and Chairman of the Government of Astrakhan Region, met with Kanat Khasenov, Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astrakhan. It was attended by Ilya Volynsky, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Astrakhan Region, and Vladimir Golovkov, Minister of External Relations of the region. A wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation are on the agenda.
According to Denis Afanasyev, Kazakhstan is a reliable partner, neighbor and friend for the Astrakhan region, with whom mutually beneficial trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation is developing. The Chairman of the regional Government noted the successful cooperation in the fields of shipbuilding and trade. Astrakhan shipbuilders currently have a portfolio of orders from Kazakhstan and are ready to fulfill new ones for both public and private companies. As for the agro–industrial complex, agricultural producers intend to increase the volume and expand the range of products supplied to Kazakhstani consumers. There are plans to establish supplies in the off–season, as the volume of vegetable storages allows.
Kanat Khasenov said that the main direction of his activity as Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astrakhan is the further intensification of cooperation between the regions of Kazakhstan and the Astrakhan region. The trade turnover is growing every year not only between our countries, but also between regions, in particular, with the Astrakhan region, and we will make every effort to increase this figure in the future said the Kazakh diplomat.
Denis Afanasyev and Kanat Khasenov discussed the agenda of the upcoming visit to the Astrakhan region of the Atyrau region delegation led by Deputy Akim Marat Murziev. She will take part in the traditional exhibition "Seeds, plant protection products, agricultural technologies. Astrakhan 2025", as well as in round tables with the participation of Astrakhan farmers and entrepreneurs.
