Astrakhan State Medical University has become the organizer of the traditional international online Russian language Olympiad among international students. It brought together specialized universities in Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Belarus.
180 applications were accepted. At various stages, the participants performed creative tasks: they prepared and presented videos about their native country to the jury, wrote essays on a given topic, answered questions about Russia, and wrote essays on the topics "The man who influenced my life" and "My future profession."
Following the results of the Olympiad, representatives of the West Kazakhstan Medical University named after Marat Ospanov and the State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after Myrat Garryev took the prizes.
The results among Russian universities were summed up separately. Omar Dahbani (Volga Region Medical Research University, Nizhny Novgorod) and Mkhizhir Yassin (Astrakhan State Medical University) shared the first place. Both are Moroccan citizens. In second place are representatives of Kuban and Kursk State Medical Universities.
Russian Rostov-on-Don, Kazakhstan, and Belarus students from preparatory faculties and international students studying at medical universities in St. Petersburg, Astrakhan, Kursk, Orenburg, Krasnoyarsk, Tver, Rostov-on-Don, as well as Kazakhstan and Belarus took part in the international reading competition in Russian, which was held at Orenburg State Medical University.
Among the laureates are Gozel Otuzova (Turkmenistan), a student of the preparatory department of Astrakhan State Medical University, and Hamza Darnif (Morocco), a second-year student of this university.
