Leading opera soloists of Astana to perform on the Astrakhan stage

On the upcoming Saturday, October 12, the Astana – Astrakhan Friendship Concert will take place. Masterpieces of the classics". For the first time, soloists of the Kazakhconcert State Concert Organization named after Rosa Baglanova (Astana) will appear on the stage of the Astrakhan State Philharmonic.

"After the recent International Festival of Classical Art "Caspian Seasons", as part of strengthening friendly ties between our region and Kazakhstan, colleagues from Astana approached us with a proposal to organize a large concert of the leading soloists of the Kazakhconcert creative association in Astrakhan," said Director of the Astrakhan State Philharmonic Valentina Chernyakova. – We are looking forward to meeting our Kazakh friends, two of them will perform in Russia for the first time. We are ready to give them a warm welcome."

The guests from Kazakhstan are the real stars of the opera scene. Thus, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bibigul Zhanuzak (soprano) graduated from the Kazakh National Academy of Music, studied at the Academy at the La Scala Theater (Italy) and at the Hungarian National Academy of Music named after F. Liszt. For many years she was the leading soloist of the Astana Opera Theater.

Azat Malik (baritone) is a graduate of the Kazakh National University of Arts, the Santa Cecilia Conservatory (Italy) and the Hungarian National Academy of Music named after F. Liszt. He is a laureate of various international competitions, including the Maria Biesu Competition and the IV Eva Marton International Opera Competition (Hungary), as well as the Daryn State Youth Award.

Ibrahim Amin (baritone), a graduate of the Kazakh National University of Arts, teaches at his alma mater, is the winner of the gold medal of the National Delphic Games of Kazakhstan and the Konrad Adenauer Scholarship (Germany).

The performances of artists from Kazakhstan will be accompanied by the Astrakhan Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra conducted by Leonid Butakov. The concert program includes arias from operas by W. Mozart, V. Bellini, S. Gounod, D. Puccini, operettas by I. Kalman, romances by P.I. Tchaikovsky and S.V. Rachmaninov, Neapolitan and Kazakh folk songs, works by I.O. Dunaevsky and modern Kazakh composers.
