Heads of two major state-owned textile enterprises of Turkmenistan are on a working visit to the Astrakhan Region. Today, during a meeting in the conference hall of the "My Business" center, they presented their products to representatives of the business community in our region.
Welcoming the guests, Minister of External Relations of the Astrakhan Region Vladimir Golovkov noted that Turkmenistan is one of the Astrakhan Region’s key foreign partners, with whom close trade, economic, and humanitarian ties have been established. By the end of 2024, the trade turnover between the Astrakhan Region and Turkmenistan had grown by 15%.
Consul of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan Gadam Ilamanov called the current meeting an important event on the path of establishing cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Astrakhan Region in the textile industry, expressing gratitude to its organizers: the Ministry of External Relations of the Astrakhan Region, Export Support Center of the Astrakhan Region, and the UNION "Astrakhan Chamber of Commerce and Industry".
General Director of the state enterprise "Textile complex named after Great Saparmurat Turkmenbashy" Atamyrat Jumagulyjov and General Director of the Kahkin Textile Complex Dovlet Diniev spoke in detail about their enterprises.
Textile complex named after Great Saparmurat Turkmenbashy covers an area of 16 hectares. Production includes spinning, weaving, dyeing, and sewing departments, each equipped with modern machinery from leading global manufacturers. The primary raw material for production is cotton fiber supplied by Turkmenistan's cotton ginning enterprises. All of the complex's products meet international standards and are exported to foreign markets.
The Kahkin Textile Complex was put into operation in August 2021. It is a modern enterprise with a full production cycle for fabrics and garments – from raw materials to finished products. Its weaving factory produces 12 million square meters of fabrics annually – ranging from cretonne to ranfors and gabardine, as well as materials for clothing and upholstery. The sewing factory produces 1.2 million garments annually – shirts, trousers, jackets, coats, jeans, and more.
Some samples of finished products – towels, windbreakers, trousers, shorts, and shirts – were displayed at the exhibition in the "My Business" center. The top managers of the Turkmen textile complexes provided detailed information to interested representatives of Astrakhan companies about the possibilities of supplying their manufactured products to the Astrakhan market and answered other questions.
