Vladimir Golovkov discussed plans for 2025 with the Consul General of Kazakhstan in Astrakhan

The Minister of External Relations of the Astrakhan Region, Vladimir Golovkov, held a working meeting with the Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astrakhan, Kanat Khasenov. They discussed the implementation of action plans for the development of cooperation with the border regions of Kazakhstan, increasing cooperation in such areas as trade, agriculture, industry, transport, education, culture and sports.

Vladimir Golovkov congratulated the Consul General of Kazakhstan in Astrakhan on assuming office and wished him successful and fruitful work.

Active cooperation in other industries, particularly in shipbuilding, was also noted: currently, five ships of various types are being built at Astrakhan shipyards by order of Kazakhstani companies.

Vladimir Golovkov said that the Astrakhan region is strengthening contacts with the territories of Kazakhstan, and not only with the border areas. Recently, on the sidelines of the XX Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan in Ufa, Governor Igor Babushkin held productive meetings with the heads of Atyrau, Mangystau, and East Kazakhstan regions, and discussed various aspects of cooperation with them.

Vladimir Golovkov told the Kazakh diplomat that a number of major international events were held in the Astrakhan region last year, in which representatives of Kazakhstan actively participated.

Kanat Khasenov, in turn, noted that his meeting yesterday with Astrakhan Region Governor Igor Babushkin was productive.

The meeting participants discussed joint work plans for 2025. In particular, they relate to the implementation of action plans between the Astrakhan region and the border regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the development of cooperation between Astrakhan and the twin cities of Atyrau and Aktau.
