Astrakhan University took part in the international exhibition in Morocco

Educational institutions of 23 countries were united by the annual educational exhibition, which was held in the Kingdom of Morocco, at the Casablanca International Exhibition Center. Delegations from universities in Moscow, Kaliningrad, Pyatigorsk and Astrakhan took part in it from Russia. Astrakhan State Technical University was represented by Evgenia Yukina, Head of the International Department.

As part of the event, Evgenia Yukina had a working meeting with Alexander Senem, head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in the Kingdom of Morocco. During the conversation, the need was noted to strengthen cooperation to determine the annual quota provided by the Russian side for students from the Kingdom of Morocco to study at ASTU.

The representative of the ASTU also held talks with the head of the Department of Marine Education and Rescue Operations of the Department of Marine Fisheries of the Kingdom of Morocco, Driss Tazi. As a result, an agreement was reached to create a joint working group to determine the annual quota for studying at the ASTU for citizens of the Kingdom of Morocco.

The Moroccan side was offered cooperation with the ASTU in the field of double diplomas. An agreement has been reached to start an exchange of teachers and consider the possibility of concluding a memorandum of cooperation with one of the technical universities of this African country at one of the nearest international venues.

"At the exhibition in Casablanca, I communicated with both citizens of the Kingdom of Morocco who graduated from our university, and with our potential applicants. Meetings were held with members of the Association of Russian Compatriots in the Kingdom of Morocco, representatives of the ship repair plant in Agadir, – Evgenia Yukina told about the results of the visit. – The Russian stand, and in particular, the section of the ASTU, aroused keen interest among Moroccan applicants. They are interested in getting an education at our university."

Currently, about 40 citizens of the Kingdom of Morocco study at ASTU. Graduates of the Astrakhan university work in various ministries and departments of the North African country. For a number of years, the University has been successfully cooperating with educational institutions in African countries, including Morocco.
