People Bring Flowers to Iranian Consulate General in Astrakhan
In Astrakhan, a spontaneous memorial has appeared at the entrance of the Consulate General of Iran: residents of the city are bringing flowers and toys following the official announcement of the tragic incidents. As a sign of mourning, the national flag of Iran was lowered from the diplomatic mission building. On the wall, draped in black, there is a portrait of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyyed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
He was killed in an air strike in Tehran last Saturday.
Today, representatives of noncommercial associations, ethnic and cultural organizations of the region, youth organizations, and educational institutions gathered. They laid flowers to express their sorrow and condolences in connection with the numerous human casualties and the mass destruction caused by the unauthorized act of aggression by the USA and Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
“We came to express words of sorrow to the friendly people of Iran,” said Ravil Arykbaev, Chairman of the regional social Kazakh culture organization. “Murder is a great sin in Islam. We all mourn the loss of people. I express my solidarity with the Iranian people and wish them to go through this great sorrow and stand for their right to life.”
