For the first time in the university's history, 29 full-time and part-time bachelor's degree students in Economics defended their theses. Three of them graduated with honors.

"The first graduating class of economists demonstrated a high level of preparation, both on the state exam and in their final theses," noted Evgeniya Yukina, Head of the Astrakhan State Technical University International Department. "They presented interesting research with a practical focus to the state commission."

The young economists are ready to build careers and develop their country's economy and industry.

Some are continuing their studies in master's programs, but the majority of graduates are employed in government agencies and enterprises in the real sector of the economy.
