The Volga Newspaper published an interview with Anatoly Isachenko, Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee

The latest issue of the Volga Newspaper (No. 10, March 20, 2026) published a column titled "COMMONWEALTH" – a joint project between the Ministry of External Relations of the Astrakhan Region and the editorial board of the Volga Newspaper. It is dedicated to Astrakhan-Mogilev cooperation, which Anatoly Isachenko, Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee of the Republic of Belarus, discussed in an interview with the newspaper.

During the X Forum of Regions of Russia and Belarus, held in Ufa in 2023, a number of agreements were signed between the Mogilev and Astrakhan Regions aimed at taking bilateral ties to a new level.

"Over the past two years, we've accomplished a significant amount of work, built on the principles of continuous and open dialogue," noted Anatoly Isachenko. "We've had mutual visits between delegations and lively discussions of initiatives, which are now gaining concrete substance. The regions are systematically working toward results: the Action Plan for Cooperation between the Mogilev and Astrakhan Regions for 2025-2026 is in effect and being successfully implemented. The partnership's geographic scope is broad: joint cultural and social events are taking place, and young people are actively engaged. But the primary driving force behind these relations is trade and economics."

In his interview, Anatoly Isachenko spoke in detail about the development of cooperation in various areas and the prospects for collaboration between the two regions.
