For the third time in a row, Astrakhan will become the venue for the International Festival-Forum "Theatrical Delta", which, as in previous years, will be held at the end of September. The festival is attended by leading theaters from Moscow, St. Petersburg and other Russian cities, as well as Russian theaters from Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.

During the festival, in addition to showing their best works on the Astrakhan stage, the artists will take part in an educational program that includes master classes and creative meetings. This year, teachers of the Moscow Art Theater Studio School will be involved in its implementation under the personal supervision of the rector, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Igor Zolotovitsky.

Akmola Regional Russian Drama Theater will take part in the festival for the first time. Astrakhan Drama Theater plans to sign a cultural cooperation Agreement with this collective, which involves organizing tours and a number of joint events in order to share experiences and develop professional skills.

Also at the international festival "Theatrical Delta", the Azerbaijani State Samad Vurgun Academic Russian Drama Theater, with which a similar agreement was signed a year ago, will show the play "The Captain's Daughter" based on the work of the same name by Alexander Pushkin. The production is timed to coincide with the 225th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian poet.

Russian Drama Festival organizers are working on a new project – the creation of a performance by one director based on a selected work of Russian classics in the Astrakhan Drama Theater and in two other Russian theaters abroad. The production will be carried out in a single concept with the possibility of actor exchange.
